What is Global Equity’s investment philosophy?

Established in 2001, Global Equity Holdings LP has a comprehensive approach to investment strategy.   We are dedicated to providing investors with diverse trading styles that present an attractive overall portfolio.

What are Global Equity’s core values?

 Research – Risk – Return – Realism

  1. Research – We assess viability based on investigation and quantified research of projects, properties and assets.  While we review all candidates seriously, we look for an overall understanding of strategy before we commit to investment.
  2. Risk – In order to make the most out of diversification, we must be balanced in managing risk.  Is it time to chase risk, or play it safe, and which industries have the ability to manage a potential downturn?
  3. Return – The bottom line for investors.  Our selection process is comprised of ample due diligence and a sophisticated operational approach.  We look for specific tactics and tools that can be used to capture return despite potential losses in individual sectors or markets.
  4. Realism - Above all, we are realistic about the investment landscape and its fluctuations.  We are aware of “bubbles” and structure our investments accordingly, for both the long and short term.

Tell me more about Global Equity’s investment process.

Global Equity operates with a structured process which begins with managed due diligence.  We want to see qualitative and quantitative information that helps us make good decisions.  Beyond that, we want to know about the uniqueness of a particular offering and its sourcing so we can fully assess its risk level.  Operational strategy based in sound management and sustainability is paramount to the non-investment sector of our business.

What areas are of particular interest as Global Equity looks to the future?

As we take a particular look at risk, we need to look very closely at fluctuation in emerging markets.  Continued population growth and natural resources are still center stage – Energy, Water, Utilities, and really anything focused in environmental efficiency and global resource management is a major focus for Global Equity.

What is the most pressing issue facing the investment industry and how is Global Equity mitigating its challenges?

The current mortgage crisis facing the United States is the threshold issue for most investment companies today.  And how legislation and other government action plays out over time will determine where the industry ends up in terms of volatility.  To the extent that the housing issue relates to the credit crunch which relates to the rest of the US economy, Global Equity will need to continue to prioritize strong leadership and strategic diversification.
