Michael O'Rosky Selected for Desert Palms Community Council
Palm Desert, CA - September 5, 2008 - The arduous process of selecting five finalists for seats on the Desert Palms Community Council is complete, and Michael J. O’Rosky has been formally selected to serve as Councilman. O’Rosky is currently developing Indio Trails, a proposed housing community in the Council’s jurisdiction.
O’Rosky is currently President of Pacific Coast, LLC. In conjunction with Global Equity Holdings LLC, Indio Trails is one of the projects O’Rosky leads. As a senior executive in the real estate industry, he worked exclusively for Berg and Berg Enterprises, (Berg Group) from 1993 until 2001, conducting extensive due diligence, entitlement and feasibility studies on large industrial and residential projects throughout California and Canada. O’Rosky founded his own development company, Charro Developers LLC in 2001. O’Rosky is a member of the California Bar, with a J. D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego.
“We really want to thank all the applicants for making our selection process such a difficult one,” said Supervisor Roy Wilson’s Legislative Assistant Denys Arcuri. “I have never seen such high quality in this type of process. In the end, we selected five who are not only quality individuals, but who represent a diversity of interests. As far as which two of the five got the 2-year terms as opposed to 4-year terms, it was just a matter of drawing straws. It’s necessary, of course, to ensure that the terms are staggered.”
On July 15, the Board of Supervisors unanimously endorsed a slate of council members which included Mario Del Guidice, Debra Lynn Beck, Seymour Kaplan, John Mark Ludemann and Michael Joseph Orosky. Ludemann and O’Rosky drew the short terms.
The first council meeting will likely be held sometime in late August at the County’s Desert Permit Assistance Center in the Desert Business Park, next to Canyon National Bank on Las Mantanas Road.
That meeting will likely be an orientation session, where permanent meeting times, dates and venues will be set.
