RIVERSIDE COUNTY APPROVES ANNEXATION FOR INDIO TRAILS
For Immediate Release:
Indio, CA (September 28, 2009) - 'Yes' Vote Provides Green Light for Development of Luxury Residential Community in Indio
In a 6-0 decision, with no dissenting votes and one Commission member absent, the Riverside County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) approved a proposed territory change for a 732-acre area known as Indio Trails, in the northwest portion of the City of Indio.
The vote was originally planned for August 27th but occurred at the regular LAFCO meeting on September 24th in Riverside. LAFCO regulates the boundaries of cities and most local districts, including annexations of territory, consolidations and other changes and formations.
"We are thrilled that LAFCO has decided to allow us to move forward with the annexation process," says Michael O’Rosky, President of Pacific Coast, LLC, which is the general partner of investment firm Global Equity Holdings. "After carefully reviewing all of the facts and figures pertaining to this issue, the commission decided to support our project. We know this community will serve to stimulate the Coachella Valley economy, and we look forward to providing this much-needed boost for the desert."
Nestled at the foothills of the Little San Bernardino Mountains, Indio Trails will be one of the Coachella Valley’s most spectacular neighborhoods. Homebuyers will find a residential opportunity that perfectly suits their needs, with several home sizes and style selections, from country estates to single family detached units to condominiums.
"The City of Indio is happy to welcome the Indio Trails development to our community," says Councilwoman Lupe Ramos Watson. "We feel that this project will not only serve to enhance our existing residential communities, but also provide an opportunity for new residents to explore and discover all that this part of the valley has to offer."
Indio Trails will create a connected lifestyle for today’s families seeking privacy at home within a neighborhood community that welcomes whatever degree of social engagement is desired. Luxury, comfort, recreation and convenience in an exquisitely-planned community will await you at Indio Trails.
